Walk into a bookstore.  BC’s books are all over the place.  Books of the sort he pushes are there.  The public has the ability to buy those books but chooses not to.  It seems fairly obvious; the poetry displayed in bookstores has failed to inspire the public.  Yet, when the lack of readers is brought up, I never see the finger pointing back at poets of his ilk.  Instead we are told that poetry is not read because it is not accessible.  Wrong.  Poetry is not read because the only books on the bookshelf of your local store are those that are accessible (ie BC).  These days, in order to find what is interesting, you need to use the internet and search it out.  Unfortunately, Collins does not utilize technology.  Obviously then, he has no idea what is out there or what the possibilities are.");document.write("      </p>");
