Vietnam, Iraq and further back the Spanish American War come to mind.  President Johnson' lies about cause of the Gulf of Tonkin Incident, Bush's non-existent weapons of mass destruction and the myth or the Battleship Maine are few examples of how politicians lure young American patriots into wars that devastate weak nations around the world.  <br /><br />Then, of course there are the documented incidents of crimes committed against civilians and prisoners he conveniently ignores.
