This city manager isn't doing much of anything to move Conneaut foward and neither is the city council. They want to tap into advertising dollars on the cable access channel, censor everything that is aired and all they will do is run the channel off the air. The channel is a volunteer organization and if they keep this up no one will want to get involved. I think all of city council and the manager should be replaced. They want to who succeeds and who does not. If the money isn't going to line their pockets, then they aren't for it. Wake up, look around, Conneaut, Ashtabula County, and the whole region is an economic disaster. The WLHB has also raised thousands of dollars to fund other fire department projects such as the air compressor that is used to fill the breathing air bottles for the entire city as well as surrounding departments. The city along with Mr.Schaumleffe have no business giving the truck or any other equipment away. If that truck or other equipment can be used in Conneaut it should stay or be sold. It is sad that one is so willing to help others in foreign countries, but turn their eyes away from those in our own country. I see no problem and agree with Mr Schaumleffel in donating the pump truck to a community in Kentucky, wouldn't it be nice to hear that it saved someones life?
