The city of conneaut has been spending money they do not have for years with little or no control or thought over their expenditures. The street lighting assessment is just another tax that they could not pass if we the tax payers had to vote on it. The huge expense on the cuppola was a waste and it should have been put back in storage instead of maintained. The continual replacement of vehicles for city employees instead of maintenance is outrageous. The east side industrial park and the city going into business for itself along with the hassle with the golf course(because they want their share), are just scams for personal agendas by the city council.Odd,that will no longer allow us personal agenda's at the council meetings to bring these issues to light, or is it? Why is it that while we have to cut back on our expenditures to just live and maintain any kind of decent lifestyle, they continue to spend money that do not have and expect us to pay for their expenditures?
