We have great schools, and the Catholic church should have realized that the kids on the wrong end of a Nun's ruler weren't going to be too quick to send their own kids to Catholic school. Ask anybody who attended St. Peters or other local Catholic school in the 1960's how the poor kids were treated by the nuns.
