It won't just be a city where everyone goes to the Monopole to have a drink and see a band (which is fine, I like going to the 'Pole). It shall be interesting to see where this goes.");document.write("
");

Quite franky, if done right, this could be HUGE developmentand downtwn growth for the Burgh. It doesn't seem like he is all for this. Never the less,

We shall see what Plattsburgh looks like in the next 2-3 years. It might not become exactly like Burlington, but with the Arts Center, Plattsburgh will be able to hold its own. It also might draw more out-of-staters to the town (and the College).");document.write("
");

To all of the people that feel this building should be on the tax roll......If you get a chance to stop in and see what they are all about, hear about their vision, what they want to grow as far as culture in our community then I feel you may see that this is a small sacrifice for our city to make!! If we can give reasons for people to visit Plattsburgh, move to Plattsburgh, then we can gove reasons for those small businesses to start opening back up in the downtown area and see the streets fill up for other things than the local bars!! Get on board people, its a reason for us to support and nurture this group!!!");document.write("
");

I am a North Country native who lives in the Capital Region. The City of Schenectady recently renovated the old Proctor's Theatre which is in the heart of its downtown area. This has been a major contributor to the revitalization of downtown as business have returned to the area. The evenings are vibrant once again as visitors take in theatre shows and dine in restaurants. I realize Mayor Kasperzak may want property to be on the tax rolls, but some of your local leaders need to get out more often to see the world in a broader context so they can envision what could become of the entire Plattsburgh downtown area.");document.write("
");
