For how long before that I do not remember.  As a little girl in the early 1960s we would go each month to pay on grandmother's charge account.  They would pass the payment up to the finance office via a tube shoot from the first floor and we would wait for the receipt.  I also remember that all of my grandmother's clothes came from The Whitehouse or from Stewart's in Louisville.   I also remember the elevator attendant.  How long has it been since anyone has been in an elevator where someone else pushed the button for your destination?  I loved going to The Whitehouse and to Stein's shoes in NA although someone pointed out to me that Conner's is no located in the origianl Stein's shoe store.  They talked of all the shoes being lined up along the wall.  I do remember being in such a place but, I remember it being at the corner of Main and Pearl.  There may have been another shoe store near there too?  I remember getting some kind of red goose shoes or something.  I think they gave everyone and egg and some got a golden egg or something like that. I can't remember it all but, I know on the same day we went to The Whitehouse we would go to Gateway and Books 5 & 10 at first near Gateway and I think later in the Colonial Manner Shopping Center next door to Taylor Drugs.");document.write("      </p>");
