Perhaps it is intended to distract us from the fact that property tax bills are late again this year.  They should have been mailed out in March or April with the first installment due May 10.  This story was published on the 3rd of July and tells us that tax bills will be late.  'Will be' late?  They are already several months late.<br />Perhaps if we elected people capable of getting the job done we wouldn't have this problem.
